We stayed at Retaj Pyramids View for four wonderful days with my wife Amelie, and our visit turned out to be much better than we could have ever expected. The hotel is owned and run by two brothers, Ramadan and Mahmud, whose warmth and hospitality made us feel like guests in their own home from the very first moment.
The hotel is perfectly located, just a short walk from the Giza Necropolis and the Sphinx, so we could easily come back for a break whenever we needed some time away from the heat and the sights.
The rooftop terrace quickly became our favourite spot: breakfast with a direct view of the Pyramids, quiet evenings watching the sunset behind the Sphinx, and slow mornings that felt more like a dream than a typical city break. The rooms were simple but clean and comfortable, and Amelie and I loved how close we were to the ancient sites.
The rooms are very clean enough n so the bathrooms
The staff Mahmoud and Ramadan are friendly and trusted
There is a mini refrigerator inside the room n a kettle to make hot drinks
The view from the roof is so good u can see the pyramids in front of your sight. By the way the place is so quiet too.
This was my first time traveling to another country, and I almost didn’t stay at this hotel because it didn’t have many reviews yet — but I’m so glad I did! I absolutely loved my stay here.
The hosts are incredibly attentive, kind, and genuinely good people who truly care about their guests. I would especially like to mention Ramadan, who helped us many times during our stay. He even helped us avoid a scam that some Uber drivers were trying to apply to tourists. On our last day in Cairo, he kindly accompanied us to Khan El Khalili, which was very generous of him. He is truly a wonderful person.
The hotel is very close to the pyramids — my husband and I walked there and it only took about 10 minutes. Ramadan even walked with us, helped us buy the tickets, and gave us helpful tips that made our visit much easier and more enjoyable.
Mahmoud Malek was also very kind and attentive. He always sent messages asking if we needed anything. Even though we didn’t talk much, he seemed like a very nice and thoughtful person.
The hotel itself is wonderful. It is simple, but amazing. The view of the pyramids is incredible. The breakfast is very good and generous. When we arrived, the room smelled very nice. The beds are comfortable, and the sheets and blankets were clean and fresh. The shower has hot water, the room has air conditioning…
I would definitely recommend this hotel to any friends or family visiting Egypt. And if I return to Egypt one day, I will absolutely stay here again. I loved my stay!
We stayed at the hotel for two nights and it was amazing. Everything was very clean, the breakfast was delicious, and Ramadam was very kind. He accompanied us to buy anything we needed, took us to the entrance of the pyramids, and was always attentive to our well-being. He made us feel very comfortable and welcome.
The best decision was staying at this hotel. If we come back to Egypt again, we would definitely stay with him.
The view of the pyramids is beautiful. Thank you, Ramadam, for your hospitality and your help. 😊
