Excellent archaeological tour to Saqqara and Giza. Esraa reads all hiéroglyphes! It’s amazing to learn her stories from the dawn of time. Being with her in the tombs and sites made all the difference. I learnt a lot. Perfect logistics, total flexibility from their side to adapt, even last minute, to my visit requests.

It was a wonderful trip, very well organized with perfect helpers in the field. Over the course of a week, we—Albert, Viktoria, Will, and Chris—visited the Bahariya Oasis, the Black and White Deserts, and the Valley of the Whales (Wadi al-Hitan). Albert and I (Chris) were already familiar with Bahariya from a previous geological excursion back in 2022, and this time we visited additional sites containing dinosaur bones. The Bahariya Oasis is famous for the large predatory dinosaur Spinosaurus aegyptiacus from the Upper Cretaceous. The White Desert is spectacular, as is the Valley of the Whales, although the fossils there suffer greatly from the climate—large temperature fluctuations and sandstorms—and need better protection, including from tourists who, unfortunately, repeatedly steal bones.
Gehad and his team were extremely well organized, highly professional, and very friendly. The food they prepared in the desert was better than anything we could get in restaurants in Cairo. We all highly recommend Desert Cruises. A great tip for fellow geologists planning an excursion to Egypt! Good value for money!

We had what was truly the trip of a lifetime with Gehad and his team at Desert Cruise! We were three generations travelling together – my husband and our kids and the grandparents, so we had many factors to consider with our itinerary, and wanted to balance both tourist and adventure elements. We are born and raised in Canada, but have Egyptian roots and family in Cairo, so we had a unique itinerary to balance both family and tourist time.
Gehad and his team worked closely with us to make sure we could meet everyone’s needs perfectly. Every aspect of our trip went very smoothly and we really had the most amazing experience. All of the guides and drivers are wonderful people, who truly did everything they could to make sure we had a great experience at each location. All of the guides spoke excellent English and had amazing knowledge about Egyptian history.

We had a wonderful experience with this tourism company during our stay in Cairo. We booked a car, driver, and tour guide for three days for a family trip, and everything was perfectly organized.
We visited the Pyramids, the Grand Egyptian Museum, the Citadel, and several religious sites, and the whole trip was very comfortable and enjoyable. An unforgettable Egyptian journey
We had an incredible experience with Desert Cruise Travel and honestly couldn’t have asked for more.
Everything was organised beautifully from start to finish, and we felt genuinely looked after throughout the whole trip. They planned our journey across Siwa Oasis, Soma Bay, and Cairo perfectly.
Siwa Oasis was a standout. From floating in the salt lakes and visiting historic sites to sandboarding across the dunes, sunset tea in the desert, a Bedouin dinner under the stars, and finishing it all off in the hot springs, it was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation.
Soma Bay was the ideal place to slow down after Siwa. The scuba diving was a real highlight, with clear water, colourful marine life, and very well-run dive experiences.
Cairo was unforgettable. Seeing the Pyramids in person and visiting the Grand Egyptian Museum was incredible, and exploring Islamic and Coptic Cairo added so much depth. Our guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and made the history come alive.
What really set Desert Cruise Travel apart was how smooth everything felt, from transfers to accommodation and communication. It made the whole experience stress-free and enjoyable.
If you’re considering a trip to Egypt, I can’t recommend Desert Cruise Travel enough. We would absolutely travel with them again.
