Very busy airport, but overall well organized. There are plenty of cafés, shops and places to sit while waiting for your flight. The airport is large, so it’s better to arrive early and allow enough time to find your gate. Overall, a good travel experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
recently traveled through Cairo International Airport, and honestly, the experience was very disappointing.
At the security counter, I saw people paying security staff to help carry their personal luggage while passing through the detector. That really didn’t feel right and made the whole security process seem unfair and unprofessional.
There was little to no assistance for passengers, and some of the staff came across as non-professional in their behavior. The overall process felt disorganized, and the cleanliness and general attitude were not what you would expect from a major international airport.
An airport is often the first and last impression of a country. Unfortunately, this experience was not a positive one.
Our experience at Cairo Airport was extremely frustrating. Due to the airport’s inefficiency, we were delayed at security and check-in, and as a result, were not allowed to board our flight even though there was still time before departure.
Instead of helping us, the flight agents were rude, uncooperative, and showed no willingness to resolve the situation. We were forced to stay an extra night at our own expense and had to purchase a new ticket at a much higher price.
To make matters worse, the flight we were supposed to be on ended up being delayed by an hour, which made the whole situation even more unfair. Overall, it was a terrible experience that left us very disappointed.
I found the airport to be easily navigable, not too congested with some okay food options. The security screening staff and passport control officers were friendly and helpful.
The people who work here are not friendly to tourists. They were not helpful when I asked for directions to check in for my flight. The guards showed discriminatory behavior toward Chinese tourists right in front of me, rudely calling out, ‘China, your passport.’ As an American, I noticed they didn’t ask for my passport at the security checkpoint, but they requested it from others who didn’t look American. A major drawback of this airport is the lack of charging stations for phones and computers—I had to search through the entire Terminal 3 to find just one. Additionally, there are no comfortable areas to lounge, work, or relax.
