The place is good.
It is the graves from the ancient Roman Empire.
You need to go down around three floors underground to reach the catacombs.
The place is decent, and it is highly recommended for tourists and locals.
It cost 50 EGY LE for egyptian and 200 for non egyptians

I walked there from the waterfront of Alexandria and it was lovely. You get to see a different part of the city. You get to see the old town. It was really interesting. Along the way people understand that you’re looking for the catacomb so they point you in the direction. It’s very different and very quiet and very local on the way there. Once you get there, it’s hard to tell if you even arrived. There are no tour buses or tourists. And I finally found somebody who sold me a ticket that was very inexpensive. And they said no photos but inside you can snap a couple shots. You can see how the Greek society was trying to merge with the old Egyptian society. They only have a few relics, but it’s definitely worth the trip.

Impressive place. I went down together with a guide. He told us amazing stories about the tombs and the excavations here. I would totally recommend going in with a guide. There is so much to see but a guide really helps you understand where you are looking at. If it helps our guide was called Saber El Hadry.
