What a surprise! The Catacombs were honestly one of our favorite experiences from our entire trip to Egypt. We were amazed by how well this place was designed and built so long ago, the purpose behind every detail, and how well preserved everything still feels today.
Walking underground through so much history was simply incredible. It truly feels like stepping back in time. We didn’t expect to love this place as much as we did, but it became one of the highlights of our trip. Absolutely worth visiting!

From exterior isn’t well maintained but still interesting, but the catacombs were amazing going down, about 80 steps, all in wood very good condition. You can see many rooms where bodies were buried (no remains in tombs). We visited in low season (July) no waiting maybe 10 persons on site.

The place is good.
It is the graves from the ancient Roman Empire.
You need to go down around three floors underground to reach the catacombs.
The place is decent, and it is highly recommended for tourists and locals.
It cost 50 EGY LE for egyptian and 200 for non egyptians
