We just finished a trip to Egypt with Egypt Promotion Travel. Super welcoming and helping us from the time we stepped off the plane, with Mohammad with transfer to and from the airport. Our guide, Adham, was exceptional. Super knowledgeable and also organised. We always at the sites and locations at the best times to really get to see everything. He also timed everything that allowed us to have a great amount of time exploring. 100% would recommend if you like a trip that explores all of Egypt.

I am writing this review to warn independent travelers about the predatory and frustrating practices of Egypt Promotion Travel. While you pay upfront for what you assume is a professional, coordinated historical tour, the actual itinerary is hijacked by your guide to maximize kickbacks and commissions at your expense.Throughout the tour, we were subjected to several ongoing “rip-off” additions that completely ruined the experience. Instead of prioritizing the historic sites, the guide constantly pushed us into classic tourist traps designed to aggressively extract foreign currency from guests. This included mandatory stops at an overpriced cotton shop, a papyrus shop, and a perfume palace. These are not cultural experiences; they are high-pressure sales environments where items are marked up by hundreds of percent. The worst part of the experience is the dining coordination. The agency and their guides bypass standard local restaurants with transparent pricing and instead force you into partner venues like Cheristo Restaurant in Old Cairo. These venues operate without printed retail menus for walk-in items and target diners with a flat, inflated international tour-group rate of $20 USD (over 1,000 EGP) for basic, low-quality meat grills that cost a fraction of that price anywhere else in Cairo. When I confronted our guide about being aggressively overcharged at this recommended venue, they completely shunned responsibility and brushed it off. The guides are supposed to protect paying clients from tourist traps, but with Egypt Promotion Travel, they actively lead you into them because they care more about their restaurant and retail commissions than the client experience. If you are stuck with them, refuse all shopping stops, pick your own restaurants on Google Maps, and deduct these hidden costs directly from your guide’s final tip. I highly recommend booking with a more ethical, transparent agency that respects its clients. Tour guides name is Ahmed

We had an amazing tour guide “Haytham” on our recent tour from Australia. Such a fantastic experience with the most knowledgeable guide who explained with such passion everywhere we visited. Thanks Haytham!
