We came in late, but the kitchen was closed (we didn’t know, that’s what we heared later on).
So some dishes were semi-warm, semi-cold….
When we are the “egyptian steak” it went all wrong…. We felt directly some cramps coming in. Now 2 days further I and my other travel partner have some diarrea and its getting worse.
The cooks were no cooks, they were just workers from the hotel… sick that they said it when my egyptian colleague found it out: Too Late!
Sorry but dont recommend to eat over here!!!
Also VERY VERY over-priced for what you get!!
My experience here started off rough then got smooth then ended badly. First and foremost we had two drivers that the hotel provided for us Amir and Farah or Farag, they made our experience in Egypt 100 times better!, they made sure we were always good and that’s always refreshing when you’re away from home. I will never say don’t book with this hotel because everyone have their own experiences and my experience may not be your experience, so my review is not to trash talk the hotel but strictly to raise awareness. First off the breakfast was decent, we enjoyed especially the foul and the ladies tried to accommodate us. We had the half board which includes breakfast and dinner. We had dinner on the roof a total of 3 times throughout our stay and that’s because we could not enjoy the dinner, it was always very salty and cold. The ladies do the breakfast and the guys do dinner but they need to either get someone else for dinner or talk to the guys let them know it’s salty. My next complaint is the front desk, there’s one guy that works in the morning, he’s very accommodating and truly try to resolve our problems BUT YOU MUST PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT YOURE BEING CHARGED FOR AND KEEP A NOTE OF WHAT YOU PAID FOR . we got tackled 3 times for charges that we already settled. We made sure to pay for everything as soon as we book it but somewhere throughout the day some miscommunication happens where the night staff tries to get us to pay again for stuff that was already paid for. The hotel is very expensive when it comes to excursions so keep that in mind also that you can get it cheaper out of the hotel. It really bothered me that we got charged $260 for two people to go to El fayoum magic lake. We was only there for about 4 hrs, but I must say our guide at the lake his name is Mohammed gave us some good food that his family made after the lake. Also another thing I wish someone put in the reviews is that if you’re coming from the states you’ll arrive very early, our flight landed at 6am we got to the hotel around 8am because they told us we can do early check in at 10am, when we got there he told us he’s working on the rooms BUT we sat on the roof in the sun from 8am until 12:30 they checked us in one of the rooms and told us the other room will be ready 5mins later but that 5mins turned out to be another 2hrs, we figured out on our own that the same ladies that makes the breakfast are the ones who also do the cleaning so breakfast ends at 10 which means the rooms wouldn’t be ready at 10am like they told us before we went on the trip. The TV wasn’t even working to keep us occupied. AND THEY STILL TRIED TO CHARGE US FOR EARLY CHECK IN not once but twice after the trouble they put us through, because they told us early check in is at 10. On our last day we had no electricity and no water in the pipes for about 8hrs but a good hotel will come to the rooms and let us know we have no utility but this hotel refuses to let the paying customers know that there’s no water to shower or electricity so we were very pissed about that. I’m sure I missed a lot of stuff but again my review is strictly for awareness.
My stay at Jimmy’s Pyramids Hotel was absolutely phenomenal. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming—I only wish I could remember all of their names! I had such wonderful conversations with everyone, including Jimmy’s son and Jimmy’s brother. The young woman and young man at the reception area were especially amazing—they even spent time teaching me Arabic, which made my experience even more special.
The breakfast was homemade and tasted so fresh and delicious. Their generosity and genuine joy in seeing their guests happy truly sets this hotel apart. You can feel the warmth of this beautiful, family-run boutique hotel in every detail.
I stayed in the Ramesses Room (555), which was spotless, beautifully designed, and offered breathtaking views of the pyramids. Next time I return to Egypt, I will absolutely stay at Jimmy’s again—though I’m hoping I can book the King Tut Room or the Nefertiti Room (fingers crossed they’re available next time!).
This place is more than just a hotel—it’s an experience filled with heart. I truly left a piece of mine there. ❤️
From the moment we arrived, everything was exactly as shown in the photos, and even better. The room, the terrace, the closeness to the pyramids, and the breathtaking view were all completely authentic and true to what is advertised. You can book Jimmy Hotel with complete confidence.
What truly made our stay special was Jimmy himself. He went above and beyond for my mother’s birthday and surprised her with a beautiful birthday cake, offered purely out of kindness. It was a touching gesture that meant a lot to us, and I will never thank him enough for it.
Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The rooms were very clean, the atmosphere was warm, and everything was well taken care of. The hotel also organized three full days of excursions to discover the heart of Cairo and its iconic pyramids.
Our guide, Mohamed Hanafy , was exceptional. He is incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and deeply invested in his work. You can truly feel how much he loves sharing history and culture. Spending time with a guide like him made each outing enriching and memorable.
I wholeheartedly recommend Jimmy Hotel and its entire team. This stay will remain a beautiful memory for us ♥️
I recently stayed at Jimmy’s Pyramide Hotel in Giza and was thoroughly impressed. The location couldn’t have been better—right in the heart of everything, making it incredibly convenient to explore and the views from the roof top deck were breath taking. The service stood out as exceptional: attentive, personal, and genuinely warm, making me feel right at home. The rooms were comfortable and exceeded my expectations. This family-run hotel has a charm and welcoming atmosphere that you simply can’t find in the big chain hotels. I would happily choose Jimmy’s Pyramide Hotel over any large box hotel any day. Highly recommended!
