May 2026: was supposed to meet someone here but when I sat downI didn’t like the elevated pricing on the menu. 58 Egyptian pounds just for cover per head was a no starter for me. No fault of their own, but it’s a premium place. I left, didn’t eat so can’t evaluate the food, but decor, the view overseeing the legendary view of the small fishing boats is all there. Friendly staff. Not a commoners place. They make believe that reservation is preferred.
Had a great Ramadan iftar experience here. The atmosphere was beautiful, and the food was served hot and quickly. The mixed grill and chicken meshab were both very delicious, and the juices and coffee were excellent as well. It’s best to reserve a few days in advance if you want a good table with a view, as it can be hard to find one. The only downside was that even when some tables were empty, they were quite strict about moving to better-view seats due to prior reservations, which I didn’t really like

The food quality was average at best, even below expectations. The risotto in particular was not good, the portion size was small, and the price was too high compared to the taste and quality.
The biggest issue was the service — the host was very rude. It was my first time experiencing something like this in a restaurant. They told us we could only stay for two hours, even though the place was almost empty, which felt unnecessary and unwelcoming.
The only positive thing was the view — it’s really nice and might be worth visiting for that alone
