Our first impression of the hotel was very positive. The property was clean and well maintained, the beach and sea were beautiful, and the food and drinks were good. A special thank you goes to Essam from housekeeping, who was always friendly, helpful, and professional.
Unfortunately, the overall experience was negatively affected by the attitude of several staff members. In the main restaurant, drinks were often forgotten or delivered very late, and we experienced rude and unprofessional behavior on multiple occasions. One staff member even refused to serve my mother because she did not speak a certain language.
After speaking with the hotel manager, the service improved briefly for a few days, but it felt forced rather than genuine. One employee even asked me to record a positive video review despite the issues we had experienced, which made me very uncomfortable.
The hotel was also surprisingly noisy at night and early in the morning due to staff moving furniture, handling cutlery, and shouting in common areas. Also some reception staff were dismissive and arrogant, and we were charged more for minibar items than we had originally been told.
The hotel may suit guests looking for complete peace and quiet, as there is virtually no evening entertainment. However, if you enjoy live music, shows, or any kind of evening atmosphere, this is probably not the right place for you.
We also waited around 30 minutes for drinks in the lobby bar and paid approximately 11€ for a shisha that lasted only 20–30 minutes. During our stay, my grandmother was promised ( in a letter from hotel) a birthday cake by the hotel, but despite waiting for it, it never arrived and no explanation was given.
Overall, the hotel itself is beautiful, but the service does not match the price or the 5-star rating. Having stayed in several hotels across Egypt, including cheaper ones, I have experienced much better service elsewhere. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel and would not return.

My husband and I spent a week at Jaz Tamerina, and it was truly one of the best vacations of our lives. The service was exceptional – everyone was incredibly friendly, smiling, and attentive to every detail. The rooms were spotless, and the food was delicious and varied.
The beach and the color of the water are simply beyond description – a true paradise. We also have wonderful memories of the staff at the beach bar of Jaz Oriental, who were always kind and welcoming. The snacks were excellent, especially the Italian pizza.
Special thanks to Zak, the waiter, who was always smiling, friendly, and helpful. We have traveled to many places across Europe, but we have never experienced such a high standard of service. We highly recommend this hotel!

Absolute amateur customer service and disappointing treatment from some reception staff and management.
I booked a private Cairo tour through an external agency because the hotel only offers group bus tours, and I wanted a more comfortable day for my mom. On the morning of departure, reception refused to allow our driver onto the property due to their internal rules. After signing a waiver, we were driven only to the first checkpoint and told to walk the remaining 1.5 km to meet our driver on our own – two women alone at 5 AM in the dark – with no concern shown for our safety or comfort.
Interestingly, after we raised the issue at the main gate, our driver was allowed to drop us much closer to the hotel on the return journey, raising questions about how strictly these “rules” are actually applied.
When we returned, the manager was defensive, repeatedly citing hotel policy without offering an apology or explanation as to why the rules changed only after I raised the issue. The entire situation felt like punishment for booking an external private tour – a service the hotel does not even offer.
Also, many of the glowing reviews mentioning specific staff may be influenced by persistant review solicitation. I was approached poolside by an employee who would not leave until I submitted a review and even took my phone to select 5 stars himself. I would have overlooked this, but combined with the tour experience, it was simply not acceptable.
Another recurring issue was the lack of respect for guests’ privacy and rest. During a 7-day stay, I was disturbed in my room on four separate occasions, which must be some kind of record. One of those interruptions was simply to ask for a review yet again. On my final day, I was woken up two hours before my scheduled bus departure so staff could collect my luggage; a service I had never requested and specifically did not want, as I intended to sleep as long as possible before my early morning flight. In my view, guests should not be disturbed in their rooms unless they have specifically requested assistance. Unfortunately, this hotel seems to have little regard for that basic courtesy.
On a positive note, the restaurant and bar staff were very kind and professional.l

Definitely you should visit. Clean sandy beach and crystal clear sea is beautiful. In regards to rooms (Garden view) if you are located above the shop, it will be difficult to get good sleep. We tried for 2 nights but after we requested room move, we paid extra to get a room located on the other side which was a huge difference. Also, housekeeping should pay more attention to hair that can be found all over the bathroom.
In regards to breakfast – great, just loafs of bread were like bricks which is something to pay attention to from management.
Lunch and dinner – okay. You will find something in regards to starter and main but sweets/desserts were a huge disappointment. Artificial, syrup-like, no freshness/fruitiness unfortunately. Also, the fried food was pale, did not look appetizing at all.
In regards to evening drinks outside of the lobby, I would suggest that management would enforce a little bit of order (prohibit) as some guests were playing music from the portable speakers which is kind of ridiculous.
Hassan from the restaurant was awesome. This is my honest opinion from a guest and someone who has hospitality management experience.

JAZ Tamerina left the best impressions! The service was excellent, and the staff were very attentive, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. Every day we found beautiful towel figures on the bed, which made our stay even more special. The restaurant staff were incredibly attentive — they quickly learned our food and drink preferences, and as soon as we arrived, everything was already waiting for us on the table.
The entire hotel area was perfectly clean and comfortable — you can really see that everything is well maintained. Even the restrooms always smelled fresh and were spotless. Our vacation was beautiful, relaxing, and truly comfortable. We highly recommend this hotel to everyone! Huge thanks to all the staff for such a high level of service! 🌟
