Golden Golf Pyramids Hotel

This place is a SCAM!
The same happened to me as described by other other people below.
I booked it through Booking.com back in August at a very good price, only to be asked by the hotel 1 week before my arrival (middle of November) to cancel my booking, because of renovations. The hotel however was still available on Booking at a much higher price (quadruple to what i booked), so it was clear that they were greedy and wanted to make more money.
The funny part was when I actually got to Giza and i visited the hotel just to make sure I’m right, and there are no renovations whatsoever, and guess what? They were open, even had free rooms, exactly what i booked before. Such losers!
In the end i was happy that i did not stay at this place. I found much a better one with honest hosts and great view from the room.
I would highly recommend staying away from this place.

First they asked to cancel booking reservation AFTER paying for 3 nights. The first room they gave us had the garden view, which was not what we booked. We booked the “mountain view” which had the pyramids, in all photos. Although I knew it wasn’t all the same room, they all had pyramid view. The reason for not giving us the room was “electrical issues”. After giving us a wrong room and complaining, the next morning around 9am, they wanted to check us out, right before our tour guide came (we booked a day tour). We said sure, even though we were in a hurry and it turned out they gave us another room with no view at all, a view on another building’s wall, just behind the reception.

To make things worse, after the second night, now around 7am, when we were about to go to another tour, a guy came to us and said you need to check out before 12pm. We were confused at first, thinking they will finally give us THE room but then told us that they can keep the luggage but we need to move them out. Then we told him we booked for 3 nights and only then was he a bit relaxed.

Another thing, the reception doesn’t work all the time and there is no daily cleaning. We also believe that the room we saw on booking was AI or something since they never showed us the room.

The only thing nice was the rooftop which had a view on pyramids and that’s it. Also, it appears to be that golden gold pyramids and the garden hotels are in the same complex, but have 2 separate receptions. To be honest, the other one looked nicer since that was the room they gave us the first night (the one with garden view).

Location is probably like any other in the area, no roads and shady but nothing bad happened.

Everyone was absolutely amazing…from start to finish… Mohamed.. Aya… Hassan (our driver) …Roro (our guide) and all of the staff at the hotel….I would recommend this hotel 100 times over….. AMAZING 🤩
